Mounting each step as an active English Teacher from St. Francis Public School to my current Vydehi School of Excellence, I benefited with exposure to the changing school environment in the prevailing cosmos. I could pour knowledge into the psyches of students, wiping out the stains of ignorance. Apart from the subject teaching, I could instill a keen interest of English Literature in the creative domains of students at a deeper level. In my expedition as an English teacher, I turned out to be a skilled article writer and as a result, one of my articles got published in â??The Times of Indiaâ?? news paper. I regard it as a big professional accomplishment. But my highest accomplishment in my teaching experience is the satisfaction that derives from the electrifying performance of the students. I taught Spell Bee to raise the standards of vocabulary and Olympiad to evoke competitive spirit and to cross the international boundaries. I would like to point out my other accomplishments in stimulating students to conduct seminars, paper presentations, power point presentations, to write reviews and projects, to make them involve actively in edutainment activities like drama, role-play, words in pot, quiz, collections and to keep vocabulary corner. I could also conduct field visits to the artistic & historic places with my colleagues. My motivation to articulate the extracurricular skills, viewing education in a larger sense, tempted each student to stretch hands to the creative writings like versification, one-act plays and stories resulting in achieving greater gratification seeing their creation. When the children dig out their talents and wear them with multiple colours, they just sparkle like silver buds. I assisted in ISO documentation by forming the duties and responsibilities of each one, in the hierarchy of educational institution. I documented the duties of school committees as well. I could take a key role in the preparation of ISA projects. I managed to take current, accurate and comprehensive topics covered in the curriculum choosing smart board as my convenient form of teaching method. I developed clear, logical and activity based curriculum and lesson plans using appropriate instructional strategies to promote student learning. I could see the brimming student interaction in the activity based teaching â??learning process. I linked present content with past and future learning experiences. I effectively implemented a variety of learning activities consistent with instructional objectives. I planned with appropriate attention to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students. I monitored studentsâ?? progress before, during, and after instruction and provided consequential feedback to students and parents regarding their performance and progress. I prepared question papers for standardized tests to evaluate student performances. I established a good rapport with colleagues and students and maintained suitable standards of behaviour in a fair and consistent manner. I successfully participated in professional growth activities like conferences, workshops and committees to get updated with the new teaching and learning environment. I would like to sum up my professional accomplishmentâ??s zenith as I view students spread their wings and upsurge to the horizon.
