ABCD Any Body Can Dance - a concept I believe completely. Anything and everything I’m this world has rhythm and dance is just following that rhythm in a language expressed through our body. I cater to bring that language of expression from each of my students and help them nurture in becoming a beautiful dancer and human being.

I am the co-founder of a movement community called Aramandi to Attitude (ATA) where we explore different movement styles like dance, martial arts, parkour, etc. More information at www.aramanditoattitude.com. I have been trained for 15 years in Bharatanatyam, an Indian Classical Dance. I have also learned contemporary dance forms for the past 10 years from several artists like Smt. Tanusree Shankar, Jacob Jonas, Bruno Catalano, Gallim Dance Company, FLOCK, Sydney Dance Company, Akram Khan Company, etc. The ATA movement paradigm teaches students to build the strength, flexibility, and balance required for learning different dance forms and teaches how to create movements and choreograph dance pieces. Currently, I am an independent artist who loves to share her interest in movement art with fellow students. I host workshops and regular classes. My work can be found on Instagram at pritha_ahtirp and at aramandi_to_attitude. I am also working as a research scholar studying theoretical biology. We paint the canvas of the space with our movements. I focus on three vital methods: 1. Train your body for strength, flexibility, and balance as the first step to efficiently learn ANY movement style you want. 2. Learn how to apply your training and CREATE your own movements! We share our paradigm and pedagogy that help us break free from creative blocks and develop our own movements through improvisation. 3. Now that you can visualize and execute your own moves, learn to build a choreography around it!! We explore how to develop a movement piece using space, people, and anything around us.

I have been teaching dance since 2011. I hold an MPA in Kuchipudi from Reva University and a Diploma in Bharatanatyam. Additionally, I have an MSC in physics, which might seem like an unusual combination, but my passion for dance and science is integral to who I am. After completing my Masters in dance, I got a job in the Mallapuram district and continued teaching dance there. I participated in Azone and intercollege Coimbatore competitions during my college days, winning many awards. Some of my students have also won school-level competitions under my guidance. Dance has been a part of my life since I was six, and I started teaching in tenth grade. Initially, I had my dance school, but due to the pandemic, I shifted to teaching online via Urban Pro. I specialise in teaching Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi, and my classes are held online for students who are four years and above. I offer different packages, such as six months and one hour per week, which includes interactive practical and theory sessions. My goal is to make the classes engaging and enjoyable for my students. Learning dance is not just about perfecting the steps but also understanding the culture and history behind it. I provide videos of my dance performances and notes to my students to achieve this. It helps them understand the dance form and appreciate it better. Teaching dance has been an incredibly fulfilling experience for me, and I'm grateful to be able to share my passion with others. I strive to make my classes accessible, engaging, and enjoyable for all my students. Watching them grow as dancers and individuals is a rewarding experience, and I feel proud to be a part of their journey.

I have been teaching classical dance, specifically Bharatanatyam, for the past 16 years. My journey as a dancer and teacher has been fueled by a deep passion for this traditional art form and a commitment to sharing its beauty and intricacies with students of all ages. Teaching Bharatanatyam allows me to combine discipline, creativity, and storytelling, helping students not only learn the steps but also understand the cultural and emotional depth behind each performance. I hold a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree as well as a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Bharatanatyam. My formal education has given me a solid foundation in technique, rhythm, and expression, which I integrate into my teaching to provide a comprehensive learning experience. Beyond academics, my practical training has taught me the importance of stage presence, precision, and the subtle nuances that make Bharatanatyam a truly expressive art form. Over the years, I have had the privilege of performing in numerous programs across Tamil Nadu and Hyderabad. Each performance has been an opportunity to showcase the richness of Bharatanatyam while also inspiring my students to aim for excellence. I am also thrilled about upcoming opportunities to perform for audiences in the United States, which allows me to share this art form with a global audience and connect with students and enthusiasts worldwide. I have had the unique honor of participating twice in a Guinness World Record group performance. These experiences taught me the importance of collaboration, teamwork, and precision in large-scale performances, lessons that I incorporate when guiding students through group and solo routines. My teaching style is highly interactive and tailored to each student’s learning pace. I focus on building a strong foundation in rhythm, posture, and expression, while gradually advancing to more complex choreography. Both online and offline classes are designed to ensure that students grasp every step, movement, and mudra with clarity and confidence. I emphasize not just the technical aspects of Bharatanatyam but also the emotional and storytelling elements that make each performance compelling. My goal is to help students develop discipline, confidence, and a love for classical dance, while also nurturing their creativity and expression. Seeing my students grow, perform confidently, and embrace Bharatanatyam as both an art and a passion is the most rewarding part of my teaching journey. I am committed to helping each student achieve their full potential and carry forward the rich tradition of this classical dance form.
