English literature is a part of the subject, and you will learn about the origin of the language, epics, drama, play etc. that generally gives you a piece of information about the era o the century. There are plenty of career prospects and job opportunities for both BA in English and BA in Literature: Business Management and Finance Government Services Marketing and advertising If you're interested in the field of media, then you can opt for media and mass communication If you take up masters in Journalism, then you can get jobs as editors, reporters etc. On the BA English level, you can also get jobs in primary and high schools, as teachers. But, if you're proficient in BA English literature, then you can work as professors and lectures in colleges and universities. read less

In BA you are simply reading all prose and poetry, but in literature you have to read deeply about the English language origin, history and development. On the simple BA English base you can teach up to middle but with special English literature you can teach the PG students.
