With due respect to all the vedic maths teachers and academies, the class taker shall not be under any false impression that vedic maths will help speed up calculations. Calculations can be speeded up using regular maths too. Instead the real advantage of vedic maths is 1) A little kid learning addition\multiplication\division\subtraction for first time. 2) A child totally disinterested in mathematics, to him vedic mathematics tricks can provide the necessary spark and interest to learn maths. 3) An exceptionally bright child, to him vedic maths can teach how algebra an be applied to solve difficult Math calculations. For all others its not useful, although it looks good theatrically, which is the fact exploited by lots of academies. read less

you do not need to make them memorise tables, instead help them understand the logic behind the numbers, table learning will happen automatically.
