Not clearing the UPSC Interview can be disheartening, and so can failing in UPSC Prelims. If a candidate doesn't clear any one of the stages of the Civil Services Exam, they have to start from the beginning again.

You will have to start from step 1 all over again... Prelims -> mains -> interview.

If you fail in the IAS (Indian Administrative Service) interview, you won't be selected for the position. However, failing in one attempt doesn't prevent you from trying again in the future. Candidates often learn from their experiences and try again in subsequent years to improve their performance.
