first you see the paper 1 syllabus ,in which political theory and indian politics .i think you want to know about part B which is define indian polity that means indian political system.so you have to cover basicly two portion first how indian political system works? and how indian politics evolved and evolving? if you want to tackle first question how indian political system works? you have to know atleast Laxmikant and how politics evolve you have to read Fadiya and how this is evolving ? you read newspaper. i would suggest you these books are vary syllabus relevant and beneficial first you finish Laxmikant if you have no idea of anything and after cover the total laxmikant you can go with Fadia and one tiny and most important thing when you read newspaper please connect with static part of that material.after this you can take Awasthi and Maheshwari also but if you comfort with it. read less
