The test is conducted for determining the eligibility for college and university level lectureship and for awarding the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) to Indian nationals for pursuing their Ph.D or research. Both these tests are held two times a year, mostly in June and December. But there are many candidates who are confused between UGC-CBSE NET and CSIR-UGC NET. Although the purpose of conducting both these exams is the same, there is a difference in the subjects involved. It has two grades of qualification LS (Lecturership) and JRF (Junior Research fellow). What is eligiblity for appearing in net exam 2016 and when it"ll be held. As I have done my masters in Sanskrit and b.ed from Hindi history so for which subject I prefer for net. I have 55% in my b.ed . Am eligible or nit.
So June 2016 exam will be conducted and online application will be given on April or May month. you can appear on your PG degree subject only.
