Yes, some Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) consider UGC-NET qualification for recruitment, but it's not a direct hiring process. Here's how it works: 1. _UGC-NET qualification as a eligibility criteria_: Some PSUs mention UGC-NET qualification as an eligibility criteria for certain positions, especially those related to research, teaching, or technical roles. 2. _Separate recruitment process_: PSUs conduct their own recruitment processes, which may include written tests, interviews, or other selection methods. 3. _UGC-NET score as a weightage_: In some cases, PSUs may give weightage to UGC-NET qualified candidates, but it's not the sole criteria for selection. Examples of PSUs that consider UGC-NET qualification include: - Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) - Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) - Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) - Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) - Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) - National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) - Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) However, it's essential to note that each PSU has its own recruitment process, and UGC-NET qualification may not be a direct ticket to employment. Candidates must check the specific recruitment notification for each PSU to understand the eligibility criteria and selection process. read less

Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) in India typically do not hire through the UGC NET exam. PSUs generally conduct their own recruitment processes for various positions, which may include written tests, interviews, and group discussions specific to the roles they are hiring for. ### **Key Points Regarding PSU Recruitment:** - **Recruitment Exams**: PSUs often have their own recruitment exams and selection processes tailored to their specific needs, such as the GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) exam for engineering positions. - **Job Roles**: Positions in PSUs are usually related to engineering, management, finance, and other specialized areas, and the recruitment criteria vary accordingly. - **UGC NET Relevance**: UGC NET is primarily used for eligibility in academic positions and research fellowships rather than for PSU recruitment. ### **For PSU Recruitment:** - **Check PSU Websites**: For accurate and up-to-date information, refer to the official websites of the PSUs you are interested in. They will provide details on recruitment criteria, exams, and application procedures. - **Recruitment Notifications**: Stay updated with recruitment notifications and advertisements published by PSUs to understand their hiring processes and requirements. If you're interested in working with PSUs, focus on their specific recruitment processes and exams rather than the UGC NET. read less
