Staff Selection Commission will conduct skill test in stenography (Grade C & Grade D) in which the candidates would be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English/Hindi at the speed of 80 words per minute (w.p.m.) for the post of Stenographer Grade D and 100 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade C. The transcription of dictated passage will be allowed on computers only. Only those candidates who were successful in written examination for Stenographer (Grade C & Grade D) Examination, 2012 can appear for the Skill Test. The skill test in stenography would be qualifying in nature. For those candidates who had not indicated the medium of Stenography Test, the Commission will consider English as the medium of Stenography Test for them. read less

First they dictate some words. You have to write accordingly in coding language .. and decode it .. and type.. your net speed must be above 80 wpm with high accuracy.
