Yes. That is appropriate usage. Anything that is inconvenient can be "a real pain". For instance, it's a real pain to study for this test OR it's a real pain to get up this early.

Remember that even highly paid celebrities make mistakes. "Wanna, like, gotcha" are not english words. If they can cook up those words and use them with style, there's nothing that you can do wrong either! Cheer up, chin up and speak up, I say!!
