Since "Kannamangalam" is a place, you need to use 'in'. Using 'at' will make your sentence sound off. So, you should say, "I am in Kannamangalam".

'I am in Kannamangalam' is the correct answer.no needto say a place called... In and at are used synonymously at timesbased on the context. at can be used only when you are asked to tell where you are at that particular point of time.
