0Types of sentences:-
- A sentence is a “group of words”
- There are ‘4’ types of sentences.
1) Assertive sentence/
Declarative sentence/ Affirmative sentence.
Def: - which ends with full stop.
Eg:
- She is a lecturer.
- They are students.
- We are doctors.
- Interrogative sentence.
Def: - A sentence which ends with ‘?’ mark.
Eg:
- what is your name?
- how old are you ?
- which is your native place?
- Imperative sentence.
Def: - A sentence which is order {or} request.
Eg:
- take your seat
- Stop talking
- Do what I say
- Exclamatory sentence.
Def: - A sentence which ends with exclamatory mark!
Eg:
- What a marvellous building!
- How beautiful she is!
