1. When the subject and object is the same person
2. When you want to emphasis the subject acting on the verb
3. When the subject is the object of the preposition.
You cannot use a reflexive pronoun when you do not have a valid object. For example you cannot say 'myself Sruthi' you should only say 'my name is Sruthi'
