In many cases, yes they need classes. As, there are many students who can't grasp the speed and content from the school or from three respective teacher. It completely depends upon student to student. There are plenty of students who can learn and grasp three knowledge from the teacher, whereas many students lack the same. So getting special attention and individual knowledge from a tutor is important for those students. Those students are even as knowledgeable and active as the other students who are not often recognised

Generally Convent students do not need any spoken English classes. I myself being one can say that convent scholls not only teach English well but also encourage students to speak in English while at school and also at home. This helps build their communication skills since the beginning which goes well in the long run.
