Can we (in reality) learn to speak English in 30 days?? :O I have come across many ads of institutions claiming the same. I wonder!

If a person has studied English on the basic level then it is a little easier to grasp the nuances and learn to speak but if its not the case then the basic Grammer itself will take dedicated 40 days to understand. Rest it always depends on the learner as to how dedicated and fast he/she is learning a language. read less

No such advertisements are misleading. No one can talk good English in 30 days. My students who studied their school classes in English medium progress well in six months.Students who did school in vernacular fare poorly and do not achieve "fair" levels even after 0ne year.
