Ronojoy Barooah

I have been playing guitar for over 17 years. I hold an Associate of Arts degree in guitar performance from the prestigious Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California. I have been teaching and playing professionally for over 7 years. I am well versed on the guitar. The topics that I cover are:
1. Music Harmony and Theory
2. Ear Training
3. Scales, Modes and Arpeggios
4. Reading staff notation
5. Right hand techniques like: Alternate, Sweep and Hybrid picking. Also fingerstyle guitar.
6.Legato and Staccato playing
7. Music Genres like: Rock, Pop, Metal, Blues, RnB, Jazz, Funk, Jazz-Fusion, Alternative.

I have had teaching experiences in Pune from 2008 to 2010. I have taught at Richie's music classes on Sus Road.
In the US, I gave in-home private lessons through a company called Rockstar Guitar Lessons. I also gave in-studio private lessons at Delian Music Academy, Inglewood, Los Angeles. I also taught guitar at the after school guitar program at Centinella Elementary School and Crozier Middle School, Los Angeles.
In India, I played with the Pune based band Vertigo. In the United States, I played with the bands We The Ones and Bella Sol.
Currently I am the lead guitarist of the premier Indian Metal Band Sceptre.

I love teaching and nothing gives me more satisfaction than watching my students grow as musicians. I have a very positive oriented teaching approach and I love making the lessons as much fun as possible.
