"Over the past 5 years, I’ve taught Spoken English to a diverse group of learners, ranging from school and college students to working professionals and homemakers. My core focus has always been to improve learners’ fluency, confidence, and practical communication skills for real-life situations. Curriculum Design & Delivery: I developed and delivered customized lesson plans focusing on listening, speaking, pronunciation, vocabulary building, grammar essentials, and conversational practice. I used role-plays, group discussions, and real-world scenarios like interviews, meetings, and public speaking exercises to make sessions interactive and practical. Beginner to Advanced Levels: My experience includes teaching complete beginners—focusing on sentence structure and basic expressions—as well as intermediate and advanced learners needing help with articulation, fluency, accent reduction, or workplace communication. Assessment & Feedback: I conducted weekly speaking evaluations, one-on-one feedback sessions, and self-assessment exercises. This helped learners track their progress and gain confidence over time. I also used voice recording techniques to help them self-correct pronunciation and intonation. Digital Tools & Online Teaching: During online teaching, I utilized platforms like Zoom, Google Meet, and interactive tools like Jamboard, quizzes, and breakout rooms to ensure high engagement and personalized learning. I also recorded sessions and shared resources like vocabulary lists, common expressions, and practice assignments for revision. Soft Skills Integration: In addition to language, I incorporated basic soft skills training—like body language, tone modulation, email etiquette, and professional introductions—especially for working professionals and students preparing for interviews. Results: Many of my students have gone on to crack job interviews, speak fluently in meetings, or participate in debates and presentations—all in English. Their feedback highlighted not just language improvement but also increased self-confidence in speaking situations.
