Sukanya Priya replied | 15/10/2016

Swarnima, If I have understood your question correctly; there are lot of sites in the internet that helps to develop your spellings. These are self help sites. Check for "building vocabulary" sites, these should enhance your word power and spelling. Similary, refer sites that offer you pronounciation trainings, once if you practise this, enunciation will improve. Thank you.

I am here to work with your team on presentation skills in specific reference to giving demos to US clients and customers. As your team works with American counterparts, this session will give you the confidence to craft your messages in a convincing way, draw the participants in and keep their attention. In today's session, we will look at how to create an engaging outline, how to deliver this over virtual meeting platforms as an individual or a group, and the importance of preparing for and handling common objections. By learning how to take time to prepare for sessions, your outcomes will be more successful. Is lying in a speech a bad thing to do if it means captivating the audience?

0 0

Smruti replied | 12/05/2016

Lying to your audiences will take a hit on the speaker's credibility. It's always best that the speaker does their honework and present the genuine facts. Simply because, when the audience pose a question over a fact you mentioned you will be sure and confident about the answer.

0 0

Finixel replied | 27/05/2016

As per statistics 93% of communication is non-verbal and audience can easily detect the lie. As a Competent Toast Master and having done Public Speaking across the world, I can confidently say that lying will alienate the audience immediately. However one can exaggerate and dramatize his or her point of view to make a powerful impact.

Audrey Robert replied | 30/06/2016

Have a few topic related jokes and short stories with a twist as a backup plan. If you find that you are losing the interest of the audience, try using it, but ensure that it merges with your story line.

You could also have a joke about an unresponsive audience, or about a speaker who spoke too long. Its okay to make fun about yourself and have them laugh with you.

Harsh replied | 25/06/2016

People will always pass negative comments, I dont want you to focus on that.
Just remeber, negative comments are breakfast of champions, so take them as a challenge, use them on a positive note and try to improve.
And sometimes you will find people contridicting each others comments, so at the end always try and improve but do whatever your heart feels like doing.

Pushpi replied | 20/06/2016

Before any public speaking, nervousness and stage fright is very common. To overcame that do not consume any caffeine related stuff rather consume some lemonade or water. Practice some tongues exercises before any speech. If you are able to hold the audience in the first few seconds. Trust, you will do a fabulous job.

0 0

Neena replied | 22/06/2016

Anxiety could be reduced by doing rehearsals in frontvof ur known audience or small children and absorbing all the details about your topic into your subconcious mond and this you could achieve only by practicing again n again.

When preparing for your presentation, what all things should I keep in mind?

0 0

Smruti replied | 12/05/2016

The most important thing to remember is to present and not to read out slides. Presenting the facts while interacting with the participants. Maintaining eye contact and audibility and making necessary hand gestures and movements (only meaningful gestures). And having a Q&A session towards the end where you get to understand the participant's perspectives and increase your credibility.

0 0

Amitha replied | 25/05/2016

The presentation should be based on your audience and the subject matter should be crisp. Use Simple language, clear and concise text with examples or pictorial representation helps. Do not use unnecessary slides which would divert the audience' state of mind. Do not clutter too much information in a slide. Use Bullet Points and if there is any data o be presented, use simple charts.

When are multimedia tools effective for public speaking?

Multimedia tools help support your presentation. Hence, they should be used carefully: not too little and not too much. They should not dictate or take over your presentation! They should be used only to clarify your point when required or to help the audience remember a point. Finally, it should be your message that they take home.

To Speak! To think less before you do so and to be confident. If you're confident about what you're speaking that's the job half done. Start with a small crowd, your friend circle for example, then move-on to colleagues and people you know not much about. The more freely you speak the better you get at speaking anywhere.
