"My musical voyage had begun with the Indian bamboo flute, and that made me listen to other instruments, and I found another magical and very soothing instrument, the sitar. It was challenging to find an appropriate mentor to learn the sitar. After three years of tenacious searching, I eventually made contact with Sitarstrings in Mumbai and began learning the sitar there. However, after completing my basic training for a few months, I had to move to Australia to fulfil my professional commitments. Fortunately, Sitarstrings' tech-savvy culture and methodology allowed me to complete my further training virtually. I'm over 40 years old, and after learning the instrument for about two years, I'm thrilled to be able to play a few ragas on the sitar. Sitar is now a family member. As a matter of fact, my daughter and other family members have grown to enjoy listening to Indian classical music. The bond I have with the Sitarstrings is truly a blessing. My learning path has been illuminated by their outstanding mentoring and patient assistance, which involved multiple examples to help me grasp the topic or idea. I vouch for Sitarstrings because of their extensive subject knowledge, intense enthusiasm for teaching, creative methods of instruction, and their intention and ability to preserve and spread the authentic traditional character of Indian classical music. "

"Under the guidance of faculty at Sitarstrings, I have been able to understand the basics of playing the Sitar and sharpen my skills overtime. Sir had demonstrated a deep passion for the instrument which is reflected in his teachings. His patience and knowledge of the instrument have helped me learn better. Not only does he impart technical expertise, but also guides one to grow and evolve as a person. "I've had a great urge to learn the sitar, but I believed it would be really challenging as I'm a working professional and also it was too late for me to begin learning how to play this lovely instrument from scratch at this age. On day while searching for music instructors/classes online I came across sitarstrings and booked an introductory session with them. The demo session was more than enough for me to realise that I had found what I was looking for, and I enrolled right away in the appropriate course for me. I started learning this instrument less than a year ago, and after seeing how far I've come, I'm confident that, despite all the odds, I can finally learn to play it well. I am thankful to my teacher who not only has a wealth of knowledge and expertise with the instrument, but who is also very encouraging and supportive. To anyone looking for sitar training, I would heartily recommend sitarstrings. "

"I am grateful for having the privilege to have started learning with Vishal sir at Sitar Strings. Vishal sir is one of the most patient, humble, kind and wise teachers I have met, always understanding what is needed and how to support and encourage, especially as I had no prior background in music. I have enjoyed not only learning about how to play but understanding more about the instrument, doing the practice, and gaining insights into the ethos and culture behind the sitar and classical music. No question or topic is too small to discuss and Vishal sir has always encouraged curiosity and questions. "I've always wanted to learn the sitar, but it was difficult to locate the suitable classes as a working mother. Finally, I was able to follow my passion because my Guru at Sitar Strings went above and above to design a timetable that worked for me. The teaching approach is conventional but effectively modified to meet the requirements and ability levels of each learner. Their exceptional teaching techniques, which show off their knowledge and expertise, make learning a simple and pleasurable process. All of my questions concerning the Sitar were carefully and effectively addressed, whether they were about music theory, playing skills, or the instrument itself. "I always had a strong urge to learn classical music and intrigued by the mesmerising tone of the sitar for some reason. In order to try my hands on the sitar I got connected with the sitar strings and the first session itself boosted my interest even higher. I got to know a lot many new things about the sitar and tradition of indian classical music. I totally enjoyed the positive vibes that encourage you to learn without having any fear of being right or wrong. Whatever I have been learning from past few months, I am enjoying every bit of it. "Would you believe a six-year-old boy from a non-musical family can perform a sitar recital, that too in less than one year of musical training? I wouldnâ??t have believed this one year ago ??. But surprisingly it has happened with my own son. Itâ??s been one of the most blissful experiences to witness how my son has been developing characteristics of a traditional Indian classical music and enhancing his creative abilities. Not only musicianship, Sitarstrings has also been impacting my sonâ??s general behavior very positively. The passion for spreading the music in the society and capability of bringing the best out of the candidate is very evident in each session with Sitarstrings. "Sir had a deep knowledge of the instrument and is a skilled player. His lessons are fast paced, yet he is very particular about the fine details. As a person he is very friendly and approachable. In my own case, I have picked up quite a few techniques of ornamentation (both, left and right hands) and a couple of ragas within a short span of time, which is rather a difficult thing to do. One of the main reasons for the quick progress is that he personally attends to each of his student and teaches at an individual level. Moreover, I also enjoyed learning his personal compositions in classical ragas. He is an excellent musician and teacher. Lastly, it should also be mentioned that you will not only learn the sitar, but also a lot of Indian classical music in his company. I am sure anyone from beginners to advanced players of the sitar would agree with me. "
