"Yoga" can be practiced every second of the day! Well, to release the physical stress one can perform mobility, stretches. Nect rotation shoulder rotations, ankle rotations, back twisting, etc.

Thrice a week is preferable. So that you are regularly learning under the trainer & rest 4 days of the week you can practice on your own. Otherwise it depends on your availability. You can also go for 5 days a week if you can't workout in absence of the trainer.

As far as techniques are concerned, no major ddicference. But may be some changes in breathing pattern, holding time, etc., basically kids adviced to not hold the breathe.
