Overview

I am professionally a data recovery engineer. Guitaring is my passion and I have been playing since the 7th grade almost. I am 31 now.
I am B.E in electronics and telecom with high interest in embedded systems
I am also an ex audio engineer.

Well, the above has to do nothing with the guitaring capabilities and the knowledge base.

My approach with my starter candidates is to develop finger strength and flexibility first instead of focusing just a lot on music theory. Developing the above two and little ear training is something very essential to enjoy the learning process and goes long way ahead in the whole self devlopment process of the candidates abilities.
Once the above target is achieved, the theory is even more enjoyable and can also be self-learnt.

The agenda with me is to train a student (if a beginner) to a level where the candidate can become self-reliant and can explore more on his own once the basics are cleared instead of depending on classes to classes for a lifetime and not constraining the candidate to always obey the instructor and be exposed limitedly.

For people who have already been playing the guitar for some time and wish to upgrade their skill set, the approach is individualistic and practice oriented.

I would teach any and every Hindi song of your demand in a way that you understand.

I strongly believe learning guitar is for self-happiness fun and relaxation.

Just like football or cricket, it takes time and practice to play well :)

Good Luck.

To be safe buy a cheap usb sound card (under a few hundred rupees ) and try on it first.

Totally worth it. However, are expensive cars worth it if one does not know how to drive them? Skillset and playability first.

The only difference is the gauge/thickness of strings a bass has vs a 6string electric/acoustic guitar has. Bass requires more finger strength.

Electric guitars are comparatively easier to play but are very sensitive. They are connected to a guitar amplifier which would really highlight your mistakes really well.

Also, electric guitars will incur more cost towards purchase of guitar amplifier etc.

So best is to first develop skill set and finger power. Then get an electric guitar to highlight the playing mistakes as well as playing with comfort.
