Clearing NEET or other national level competitive exams in first attempt is generally difficult for most of the students. It is because many students take their second or third attempt when you are taking your first one. So, someone who is preparing for 2-3 years, in general, would have better knowledge bank than a fresher and has greater chances of success. No one else other than you can guide which path to proceed with. If you missed you rank by a small margin, and you wish to be dedicated to perform well next time, you shall be taking the next attempt for sure. Several people even complete the exam in their last permitted attempt, too. The decision of opting the paths is separated by a very fine line of dedication and hope- the intrinsic strength of your can't be judged by me or anyone else appropriately. Their nothing bad in being optimistic and dedicated to accomplish a dream. read less
