Why do you lose your calm?
Most of the time this happens because when you start attempting the paper, you are greeted with such type of questions which you either can't solve or aren't able to remember. This leads to panic attack and you lose your calm. You can't remember what have studied. You end up screwing your paper.
What should you do?
Close your eyes. Take two deep breaths. If you have some water with you, drink a sip. Not more. Water reduces anxiety. Then start going through the paper finding that one question which you surely can attempt. Then again go through the same exercise and find another. This process must repeat.
Nothing has changed. Everything is still the same. Question paper is the same but your self confidence has got a boost. You can now easily get to the questions you weren't able to attempt in the first place.

Hello friends, there are some smart tricks to score in entrance exams.
1.Start preparation as early as possible because it takes more time for proper learning.
2.For PCM make a list of formulas and don’t memorize them learn them properly.List out them on a piece of paper and stick the paper a wall of your study room.
3.Refer only those books which clears your concept in short and sweet manner. If you want to go deep, after exams all time yours for this.
4.Learn to divide your time for each question,as i think so we have 60 to 90 seconds for each question to answer. That’s why if you are not able to find answer within 45 seconds, live the question and move on.Try to attempt others.
5.Try to do less paper works as much as possibles and keep a practice of basic calculation in your mind.
6.Always think before ticking the None Of The Above option. On most of the occasions it proves to be wrong.
7.If you have options for your answers always try to strike out the wrong one’s initially and then go for right one’s.
8.For first 25 seconds, read the question properly and make yourself very clear as it helps in answering.
9.Reading the question patiently helps in catching the twist and turns in it.
10.Never try to look at others in attempt for copying or checking how many questions are solved by him/her because it demoralize you affects your performance.
11.Don’t waste your time in cheating during entrance exams because you might miss the further basic questions which may affect your results.
12.Have a good sleep before exam night though your are prepared or not.Just go to bed as early as possible.
13.Walk in the exam hall as if you are prepared and keep a smile on your face to boost your confidence.
All the best.

Make sure you are very thorough with your NCERT, especially for chemistry.
Do the Arihant Manipal Engineering book. It's got all the previous years paper and few model question papers too. This book is more than enough to get an idea about the exam and to manage time.
Do practice a LOT and mange time well!
Hope this answer was helpful!
