My Vocabulary words for today 13/5/18

1) agile = able to move quickly and easily.
Synonyms - nimble, lithe, spry, sprightly, deft.
Ex. He's an agile climber: he will reach the summit in no time!

2) candour = the quality of being open and honest.
Synonyms – frankness, openness, honesty, sincerity.
Ex. The celebrity answered the interview with good humour and candour explaining how he struggled in his early days before stardom.

3) abhor = to hate or detest something
Synonyms – aversion, loathe, detest, to regard something with extreme repugnance.
She abhorred the way they treated the animals.

4) abscond = to go away suddenly (to avoid arrest)

synonyms: run away, escape, bolt, clear out, flee, make off, take flight, take off, fly,

Ex. The corrupt politician has been absconding, and the officials are looking for him all over the city.

5) satiate = satisfy fully 

Synonyms: fill, fully satisfy, sate; quench;
Ex. Her curiosity was satiated when she started reading more books.
