Half-pedaling is the function that enables you to change the amount of sustain by varying the degree to which the damper (sustain) pedal is applied. For more information search the same on google.

What are major chords and minor chords in keyboard?
The difference between Major and Minor chords is use of the 3rd note. If we'll use the third note flat it will become a minor chord and will produce a soft sound and if we'll use the third note normal the chord will be major.
