What are major chords and minor chords in keyboard?

The difference between Major and Minor chords is use of the 3rd note. If we'll use the third note flat it will become a minor chord and will produce a soft sound and if we'll use the third note normal the chord will be major.

Major chords - 1, 3, 5 Minor chords - 1, b3, 5 These numbers represent the degrees or notes in a major scale. For ex: C Major scale - C, D, E, F, G, A, B 1, 3, 5 - C, E, G 1,b3,5 - C, Eb, G Major chords are bright and happy sounding while minor chords sound dark.

There is a very minor variation in the triad that causes the tonal variation. In simple words Major sounds more happy and majestic, whereas minor sounds very emotional and sentimental.
