Tha road to success is somewhat difficult but very rewarding in terms of job satisfaction and your position in society. You may get a better chance to do for development of your society, your own people. On the other hand, taking up B.E and looking for job would be hindrance to your growth provided you took up B.E at IIT level. You can pursue mtech later on.. The technical aspects are comparatively easy to understand at job sectors and hence the sector is crowded, hence creating more applications for less intake. i think btech would be a more suitable option ,because as things are moving towards technology and the govt jobs are depleting it makes sense if you have a technical degree.after doing btech you would atleast be getting recruited in any of those it giants like TCS and Infy(mass recruiters) or any other startup,this way you would become financially independent ,and after gaining certain work experience you can apply to govt jobs like psus,banks or give ssc-cgl ,or become an IAS officer.if you dont believe me just look at the merit list of banking exams or upsc , majority of the toppers are from technical background and have a certain work experience too. read less

This totally based on your passion. if you want to become a teacher and resercher, you can choose B.Sc. . If you want to do job in Private and goverenment technical fields and also want to become a techer and resercher , you can choose B.tech.
