It is to be noted that the Canadian universities can consider up to 4 backlogs or five at max in your undergraduate. But, you should have a minimum of 70% minimum score. Although there are exceptions, some universities do accept applicants with 7 to 8 backlogs as well. Even with a cut off of 65 % in the undergraduate score.

The New Zealand universities will accept four backlogs from international students. Having stated that some of them might not even recognise the application even with one backlog and some of them agree with more backlogs.

Coming to the letter of recommendation, You should have a very strong Letter of recommendation (LORS ) from highly qualified professors preferably from doctorate holder. This helps when you are applying for foreign colleges or universities.

But it is advised to not get disappointed if you’re rejected by some of the top universities because there are chances of getting rejection too. Instead, you should try applying for the universities in Ottawa and such. If you aim to do MS in Canada, then you might get a seat in RR University, Cape Breton University and more. So, be smart, stay calm and optimistic about things.

Best wishes for your journey ahead.
