To be blunt, it depends on person to person. Talking about IELTS preparation, giving an hour for each module helps much. Practising every module every day in a given time frame can be of great help. Look closely at the mistakes and try not to repeat them. Time yourself, always finish the test in the given time limit. Once the 60 minutes are done, stop, stop the reading section and check the answers. After scoring it, then solve the remaining questions that you missed. The same goes for the listening section. With regards to the speaking section, try recording the voice for the first few days. After finishing the exam, listen to it, judge them and score it. It would be best if you do not repeat the same words, and avoid doing 'hmmm, or mmm' etc. If you think that your voice is not coming out proper and precise, then read something in English every day for 30 minutes until your day of the exam. This will genuinely help you. Writing comes with practice. Learn new words, phrases and idioms every day and try to use them in your writing. Read useful and quality articles in magazines, newspapers every day. Find someone who will always be ready to score your writing tasks every day. Even after so much effort, if you feel that you are lagging in a particular section, then it is advisable to seek expert guidance or you can double the time for that specific section. read less
