Hello Pooja, The GRE(Graduate Record Examination) General Test is a computer based examination that measures the test takers' Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, Critical Thinking and Analytical Writing Skills. This test is owned by Educational Testing Services and is a mandatory requirement if you plan to pursue your Master's Degree or PhD abroad especially in the United States. IELTS stands for International English Language Testing System and TOEFL stands for Test Of English as a Foreign Language. Both these exams test your proficiency in the four basic skills of English Language: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. So you can choose to sit for any one of these exams depending on the requirement of the Universities you plan to apply. Assuming that you are planning to study in the United states, I suggest that you prepare for the GRE and any one of the above mentioned English Language Tests. read less
