This test is conducted multiple times in a year by the British Council and IDP to evaluate non-native English speakers ability. IELTS score is used for study, migration and employment purposes, especially in countries such as the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and the U.K. There are two types of IELTS Academic General Academic is for getting into an English speaking university or professional registration. If you’re looking to pursue your undergraduate and postgraduate level education in an English speaking country, then you have to take IELTS Academic. IELTS score is accepted by 10,000 institutes worldwide, and there are approximately 3,000 academic institutes in the United States. IELTS general is connected to work and migration purposes. This international English language standardised test comes into the picture if you want to migrant to the U.S., the U.K., Canada etc. It is also the only secure test accepted by U.K. Visas and Immigration (UKVI) too. IELTS score is recognised by over 7000 organisations globally. Even though a good score in IELTS doesn’t guarantee you a job, a score of 7 or above is considered a good band score and it can provide several career opportunities. read less
