In my opinion, 2 to 3 monthswould be ideal if your English is average. If you deem yourself to be good at English in all four areas, then 1 month of professional guidance or two months of self-practice is sufficient. If you arean expert in English and use it on a day to day basis as part of your work and communicate in English on a daily basis, as little as 15 days to learn about the exam patterns should be fine. If you are from a non-English medium school, first and foremost, you must improve your English/vocabulary to reach an average level with a bridge course for English, before you start preparing for IELTS. read less
