These component scores are then averaged to give an overall band score. Each band corresponds to a descriptor level, from "non-user" (band score 0) to "expert user" (band score 9). The scores are reported in whole and half bands (e.g., 6.0, 6.5, 7.0). The final score is an average of the scores from each section, rounded to the nearest whole or half band.
