How to improve my english knowledge particularly in speaking and listening?

All these teaching institutes do nothing. Don't waste your money/time on them. Keep practicing on your own. Keep reading something in which you are interested. First, learn the basic grammar and practice. Good luck.!!

"I prefer coffee to tea". In this text, what does "I" actually drink?? I am a bit confused here

When it comes to comparision, you always use 'To'. The thing to which you give more priority is always stated first. In this phrase "I prefer coffee to tea" -- You give the utmost priority to coffee when compared to tea. I hope, you are clear now. Good day.!!

Just learn the basic grammar first and keep communicating in English with your friends. Once you gain confidence that you are able to communicate fluently, then you can learn grammar in depth. Never Give up.!! Good luck.!!

"Keep reading some thing and try to communivate in English" -- I know its a old trick/suggestion given to you by most of the people, yet its the best way. Keep reading news paper, blogs... ...more

"Keep reading some thing and try to communivate in English" -- I know its a old trick/suggestion given to you by most of the people, yet its the best way. Keep reading news paper, blogs which posts something you are interested in, read books - start wid local authors. Communicate in english - I know, when you do this your friends make fun of it but just ignore them. When you chat in whatsapp/FB, do it in English. When you communicate with people who speaks good English, you get to know new words everyday and new things too. So, start it from today and practise this for 1 month continuously and you can notice the difference for sure. Good day.!!
