Dr. Asmita Mishra started her initial training in vocal music under the guidence of famous musician of Ayodhya Shri Mannulal ji and Dr. Kalpana S. Burman. Then she took her advanced training under the strong guidance of renowned vocalists of Gwalior Gharana Dr. Jayant Khot (DEAN Aallahabad Uni) and Sri. Sateesh Indurkar (Khairagah Uni.) . Asmita has done her Masters in Performing Arts from Bhatkhande Sangeet Sansthan Deamed University Lucknow. After that she was awarded Doctorate in Indian Classical Music under the guidance of Dr. Mukesh Garg( Delhi University). She has given various stage performances in classical, semi classical and light music in Lucknow Mahotsav, Bharat Bhavan Bhopal, Swami Pagaldas Punyatithi Samaroh, Manas Bhavan Sangeet Samaroh Ayodha, Allahabad Sangeet sankalp, Ahamdabad, Mathura, Haridwaar etc.. Asmita has a vast experience of giving workshops in folk music (Awadhi hori, kajri, chaiti, jhoolan sanskargeet) conducted by Ayodhya Shodh Sansthan Bharteey saanskritik Mantraalay..she has good command over telugu, Rajasthani, bangla, Marathi, Awadhi, brajbhasha songs also ...at present she is singing composing, teaching students by giving them voice culture training in classical, semi classical and light music.
