I have been a trainer in a company, where I have trained the professionals. After leaving the corporate job I have taken up tuitions as my profession. I have taught English to a child as young as 5 years of age and have seen tremendous improvement in her. She is such a young child however it was very satisfying to hear a compliment on my teaching from her. Spoken English is something that can not be taken up in isolation, the student should be able to write and comprehend whatever he listens to or reads. I do exactly the same, I take care of the overall improvement of the language as a whole.

I have cleared versant many times with more than 8 points every time. The first and the foremost thing that you need to keep in mind is clarity. The clarity in your speech has two parts one is your tonal quality and the other charity in mind. These go hand in hand. Once you have a command on both these aspects, you automatically would gain confidence and do well.

So this is the best tip for you. When you have to improve your spoken English initially do not speak to impress anyone, only speak to put forward your thoughts. My suggestion would be based on your financial situation. If you can afford them easily go for it, however, if not, then wait till the time you can afford one, however, it should not hamper your practice, continue doing whatever you have been doing till now(practising in your classes, school, friend's place etc.).
