its not like fingers are better or pick. The one you practise with becomes better. But in certain songs like nothing else matters eg. you can't use the pick (in intro) cos you need multiple notes on different strings so you LL have to learn playing from both. the purpose of playing guitar using either pick or hand (for acoustic) is to bring or create variations in sound. so depends on your ability which one you can use to variate sound differently.

Pick for lead and strum Fingers for plucking and basically for classical guitar purpose

Both have their own purposes You use a pick for strumming or for guitar solos and use your hand for finger picking
