the purpose of playing guitar using either pick or hand (for acoustic) is to bring or create variations in sound. so depends on your ability which one you can use to variate sound differently.

Both have their own purposes You use a pick for strumming or for guitar solos and use your hand for finger picking

Hi Vikash, Guitar is a good choice. I do have a couple of students with epilepsy however this doesn't effect the guitar playing. Find a teacher and get started. All the best :)
