Teaching Experience in detail in Guitar Classes
I am playing guitar for more then 18 years but it's been 8 years now started teaching and I found most of the people really don't know what should they learn. People consider themselves guitarist just by playing few songs on Guitar. That's it. But this instrument has plenty of things to do with it not just play few covers. The program I structured for beginners and seriously interested ppl will help them to step forward towards being a musician. The most important thing for you is to love the instrument and practice as much as u can that's it.

You can. It would be like experimenting with the tones by switching the strings. Strings of guitar are made by keeping it's type ( either it is electric... Acoustic or classical) in mind and accordingly the strings produced the tone.
You can try switching them by keeping these facts in mind that the string gauge variates fo it may end up creating some buzz while playing guitar.
In general the string gugae ( thickness) used for Acoustic is heavier than the electric.
If you put heavier gauge strings on electric it may end up some damage on your electric guitar fretboard.
When it comes to experiment anything can happen.

Hey Srinu!
Well, the guitar is a western instrument. We can play either western classical music or Indian classical music ( like Carnatic music) on that. To play and learn traditional music, classical guitars are used.
To play other styles Acoustic guitar (with bronze, steel strings) and electric guitar (with steel) are used.
But the main fact is that whatever type of music you want your kid to learn on guitar, the first requirement is to learn basics. After that, you can decide what type or style of music your kid should learn according to his interest.
As the guitar is a string instrument, it is harsh on the fingers. Your kid can start basics with classical guitar because it has nylon strings which are accessible on fingers to play.
I hope this is helpful. Regards.
