Versatile and widely used, making it easy to find resources and play along with most songs. Drop D (DADGBE) Best for: Rock, metal, grunge Why? Gives heavier, chunkier power chords while keeping standard chord shapes. Half-Step Down (Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb) Best for: Classic rock, blues, metal (used by Jimi Hendrix, Guns N' Roses, Nirvana) Why? Warmer tone and easier bends. 🎶 Drop C (CGCFAD) / Drop B (BF#BEG#C#) Best for: Heavy metal, djent Why? Deeper, heavier sound with easier power chord shapes. Open G (DGDGBD) Best for: Blues, slide guitar, folk, The Rolling Stones vibes Why? Makes playing major chords effortless. 🌊 Open D (DADF#AD) Best for: Folk, blues, fingerstyle, slide Why?
