Not at all. If u r interested u can play at any age. Age doesn't matter

Guitar Teacher last 12 years with 30 years experience in film recording industry.

Learning an instrument needs concentration and a fair amount of practise. Any age is a good age to start if you have both these requirements. I've got students who started playing in their late 40's and are doing great, so 14 is not too late!
