Is an electric guitar harder to play than a classical guitar?

And a classical guitar can capture nuance and subtlety to a degree just impossible on anything else. But if you want to shred, or play chords up and down the neck, an electric (or standard folk acoustic guitar) will be much easier to play than will a classical.
