Two months is a good estimate for preparing for IELTS. It also depends on your existing skills of listening, speaking wrting, reading and English grammar.

IELTS preperation takes approx ^ to 8 weeks depending on the students learning skills ,even a months preperation suffices how well he can confidently manouvre all the sections , in other words balance out his preperation of all the 4 sections that is reading , writing ,speaking and listening

Many B-Schools have started accepting the GRE scores. And the GRE new format (after August 2011) tests you on several measures which were found only in GMAT. One thing is, the Critical Reasoning Section. Now in the GRE, you will have questions involving critical reasoning, though these are not as difficult as those found in the GMAT. Also there is more verbal reasoning and less of vocabulary in the new format GRE, which is another measure tested in the GMAT.

1. so what is the minimum time required to prepare for the Graduate Record Examination . 2. Also what in your opinion is the right way - directly after B tech or get into job and then go after 1 year or 2 years ?
Answer to Q.2 It is better to continue MS immediately after your UG. Since you are going to specialize in the area of your interest a break is not advisable. In case you are going to pursue MBA, then experience becomes necessary.
