Before pursuing a full blown course on Data Science, Why not get acclimatized with a short course on Data Analytics? Data Analytics is a branch of data science that can be applied in various fronts/businesses. A short term course of 6-8 months can also yield you very good results. And Depending on your level of knowledge on the subject I would suggest learning from scratch is most ideal. However previous knowledge of Python /R or advanced Excel or SQL makes it far easier to get started. I will always suggest to choose a course preferably with mentorship and guidance since that will make it easier to learn and absorb the subject matter. I think IIM Skills is one of the online institutes that provide Data Analytics courses and also have placement assistance which will help you a lot more than just the certification to break into the field.. From my knowledge they provide demo classes too. Worth checking it out in my opinion. Their Certification is backed up by Lisburn University. So it is an internationally accredited certificaiton. read less
