I have been practicing Yoga for over 12 years. I learnt this art from Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, while working in my high pressure job in an IT company, where I used to spend 10 to 14 hrs a day sitting in front of my laptop or desktop. I have been teaching Yoga to my friends in housing society (who are mostly in long-sitting-hours job), and specially to my wife, who has immensely benefited in getting relief from back pain and Carpal Tunnel shrinkage. As per one study, 52 percent of IT professionals suffer from neck pain ( I also had neck pain), back pain, spondylitis, diabetes and a host of other modern-day health issues. My Yoga teaching is specially helpful for those professionals, who sit at their desks for long periods of time.
