The moves are not difficult but different. Also, Argentine Tango does not use patterns like most other social dances. So, for the follower it has to be constant focus on the leader; for the leader there is little ‘thinking time’ between steps. Requires strong commitment to the song; and most pieces are multi layered. You can dance to the main theme, or the solo, or the singer; and switch in between. It gives a wide field for the ‘performance’. Oh, and don’t forget, you dance in the ‘tango embrace’; very close. read less
