1) Be aware of your intonation and overall communication skill,rate it and write it on a diary,that will help you to monitor your progress. 2)Record your video and audio,it will also boost your confidence 3) watch videos of someone your look upto for great communication skill and observe how they communicate and learn. 4) take small step and start conversation,even if it is just a 5min convo but slowly it will help you in many ways. PS: don't worry about the judgement,and what will people say,mostly people around you will encourage you. read less

I think your example should read "It would have been better, if you attended the party" we use could have when there is another option, eg He could have washed the dishes, but he chose to watch tv
