"As part of my classes for therapy , Renu has guided me and shown me how to maintain a sense of self-discipline through her yogic expertise and training.I have been attending her classes for six months and so far I have benefited extremely well in terms if the stable understated attitude I have learnt from her and its simultaneously beneficial orientation towards life and the challenges that it brings. Her classes are a pleasure to look forward to because of the food for thought it engenders in my mind. Her therapy is comforting and inspirational both at the same time , because of the mindful knowledge that is shared in its unfolding. To my classes I bring my silence , and its either returned through a joyful and playful response in terms of the simulatenous lack of seriousness yet one-pointed focus that it inspires , or the sterile discipline of yogic postures that train my breath and mind to unify within the body.As she states ' Yoga is a body ritual leading to spirituality ' .Her dedication and livewire awareness electrifies my mind to match up with hers , and in response , do justice to the wholesomeness and humility of the principles that she teaches. My consciousness has travelled through a lack of confidence in outer circumstances and human behaviour in the beginning to a spirited effort to match and return the challenges of life to their fullest potential.I have learnt that prayer and chanting is therapeutic for the unveiling of the self to the mind. All of these realizations have happened without her directly explaining them- to highlight the quiet fire that her presence kindles in the pure mind.I prefer in fact to surrender completely to the imaginative dynamics of her planned -yet -spontaneous classes , and witness the unpredictable twists and turns that her therapy and training provide a courageous platform for.I have also learnt that Renu enjoys teaching through stark yet gentle contrast , that her body language and speech so effortlessly and bravely carries. It pushes me to remain as unpretentious as possible to the core , and to unashamedly , unravel the inner baggage and pranic blockages that prevent me from experiencing the independence and judiciousness of life to the fullest. Her classes are so technically sublime that one forgets that one is even being treated for therapy and has made a reliable and caring friend for life.Thank you for everything (so far )Renu."

"136.1 - The decibel of AUM - the sound of this Earth - of Creation. As a speck of an earthling, it has been a wondrous journey with all of your committed teachers and the management. The interest sustained only because you all have that interest sustained in you, otherwise we will not have special classes, boot camps, work shops, havan, tours etc that are knowledgeable, awe inspiring, healthy and super fun. Technology lead to a lot of health hazards in the name of improvement because of mishandling. In your hands I see a bright future. Start where you are, use what you have, do what you can" said Arthur Ashe. This should be the ring tone for all our members. Our aim should not be such that its unassailability turns into a blame game. Let us all prioritize health and benefit with a bonus of fat loss, weight loss, glossy hair, silky skin and the kind in due course. Genetics does have a lot to do here and acceptance of what we are will help us move along with Mother Nature. I did have a spare tyre running around my midriff which rolled away with the boot camp. I entered the studio croaking like a frog, with a sore throat that was bothering me for quite some time.It vanished in just a week of yoga and pranayama. Now I am busy checking out the new ice-cream parlors in town. Immunity is another issue that is often neglected. Treatments have super ceded preventive methods. We need more 136.1 studios to give the doctors a run for their money. There is a different vibration that has set into my system for the past two years that I was with you. The sound of silence - that speaks a lot. The strings of 136.1 yoga studio plays a tune that is so magical that it suits any age, any body type, any mind set, any fitness level any whatever!!! Personally the benefit has been immense. The certifications that I had done and the workshops that I had attended are very varied being a fitness enthusiast and consultant, but the experience that you and your teachers had given has put all of them together in a nutshell of Yoga. This only goes to prove the greatness of our seers that have packaged all that is needed in this complicated life into something as simple as just being there and together in the moment. You have created the space for that in your studio and we have a definite space for you in our hearts for that. "

About us

Bharatiya Yog Sansthan (Regd.) came into being on 10th April 1967, it is non-sectarian, social, cultural and non-profit making organization. It firmly believes in Bharatiya cultural heritage and aims to re-establish by protecting and preserving it. It draws its inspiration from the lofty human ideals of Bharatiya culture viz 'Vasudhaiv Kutumbkam' - Entire Universe Is Our Family and 'Loka Samasta Sukhino Bhavantu', 'Sarve Bhaventu Sukhina' - may all be happy, may all being rejoice in joy and happiness and the like as 'Live 'N' Liven' - may all live for the service of humanity and inspire others to live in the service of Almighty. To fulfill this aim Sansthan has chosen Yog as its means. The genesis of Yog has been adopted on the lines enshrined by Maharishi Patanjali. Healthy Living- Happy Living? Our focus is the most burdened and stressed family person who has dual responsibility to keep his or her family floating in this turbulent world. Such a person is most precious asset of our society and his health is a prime concern to the Sansthan. The Sansthan has designed an hour?s programme, which has to be followed on daily basis. He or she will be required to do Asans for 30 minutes. These are further categorised i.e. standing, sitting, on knees, on stomach, on back. One should do minimum of one Asan daily from each of the above category. This is First Part of one hour catering to the requirement of Physical Fitness. Paranayam follows the above as second part for 20 minutes. It is also inclusive of ?Hansi Yog? and ?Tratak?. This Second Part is designed for the Mental Fitness of an individual Sadhak. Thought is the ?cosmic energy? of the body and need to be harnessed on daily basis. Thus, the third part is of 10 minutes consisting of ?dhyan? and ?chanting of mantras? and ?prayer?. In keeping with the above principles and methodology, Sansthan is presently conducting more than 1800 FREE Yog centers where lakhs and lakhs of people from all castes, creeds, sections, rich, poor, young, old, men, women, have or are being benefited at all the levels of human existence - physical, mental and spiritual. The aspirant is made to practice Yog for an hour and gradually acquires skill to teach Yog to others. The distribution of time is as under: - All the Yog centers follow the same pattern on everyday basis and are run by local representatives to give benefit to the residents residing around that center. Thus, expert selfless Yog teachers conduct the centers free of cost. By gradually and regularly practicing Yog, a selfish becomes selfless person. He begins doing well to others without expecting any reward. Thus, he is able to shun greed in his lifetime and resultantly all other ailments of mind. Sansthan therefore enables each and every individual to become ?Niskam Karmyogi? i.e. a Selfless Karmyogi?. Sansthan's Vision? To fulfill its aims and objects, Sansthan has constructed Yog Ashram - Cum- Research Centre where training is imparted through various short and long term courses, efficiency classes, seminars, interaction, yogabhyas etc. The energy, thus, sublimated through these various courses shall make the aspirant grow a selfless efficient worker of ?Vanprasthi? (one who makes his livelihood on his own but serves the society without expecting any reward) in nature (who shall depict their life not through words but by deeds). The Centre thus helps the Sansthan to search talent which is a continuous future requirement of our society.
