Subbulakshmi Sekar

With abundant teaching experience of about 40 years and sharing the joy of music with nubile and the experienced, I offer a wide range of musical interests to pursue within carnatic, folk, light/semi classical in a variety of languages. I pursue music for the joy of the subject. I strongly believe in the philosophy - 'Music has no language' and that music is 'Food for soul'

From a very young age, I identified my passion for singing and dancing. With the right encouragement from my parents who found the right teachers, I began my musical journey.

- Won many accolades in Music Competitions including Swathi Thiranal Krithis and Bharathiyar Competitions.
As A Grade Artist in A.I.R, gave lots of Music Concerts.
- While improving my learning , I continued teaching- first at home, then in schools as an expert in the field.
- Can teach music for competitions in various languages- Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.
- Cover a wide range of musical interests - patriotic, folk, classical, semi classical songs for school and college students.
- Organized release of my Music CD on Pradosham Songs.
- Received the Honour of Best Performing artist of Andamans and received award from Honorable Lt.Governor of A&N Islands.
