I begin with basic swaras and gradually progress to varnams, kritis, and bhajans based on the learner’s level. I am fluent in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi, which allows me to explain concepts in a language that students are comfortable with. I also incorporate devotional songs and bhajans into my teaching to make learning more engaging and meaningful. Along with vocal training, I guide students in pronunciation, rhythm, and expressive singing to enhance their overall musical development. In addition to Carnatic vocal training, I also mentor students in basic songwriting and music composition. I help learners understand how to create simple melodies, structure songs, and explore devotional songwriting and bhajan composition. I take vocal music classes for students from various age groups.I have been taking music classes for the past 5 years at my home and online. I teach from the basic Sarali varisai, Janta varisai, Dhatu varisai, Mel sthayi varisiai, Alankaram, Geetham, Swarajathi, Varnam, Keerthanas, Pancha Rathnas, Thyagaraja Krithis, Mysore Vasudevacharya Krithis, Annamacharya Krithis, Purandhara Dasar Krithis, Thirupugazh, Thevaram, Kavadichindhu etc., Ragas and Thalas will be explained along with each lesson. Slokas and Bhajans are taken especially for kids and on special requests.

I teach from the beginning, that is, the Introduction to Music, Origin etc. Sound and Voice training with scales, then on to the main course from Sarali Varisai onwards. I also teach Akaram, Ikaram etc. I don't just stick to Music. I teach breathing exercises, necessary yoga breath control, voice control and the relevant Theory. I conduct Periodic Tests after completing each step to assess the student as to how he or she has learned and understood before going further. I also teach Light Classical Bhajans and Light Music Film Songs and their nuances in major languages.

Proper equipment To start with Zoom class one needs to have a gadget, for a Carnatic music class if the student has a laptop then it will be better. Without internet connection Zoom class is not possible, so you need to have WiFi. When it comes to music class audio is important so you need to have a standard sound system, one can use headphones as well. Steps to record Zoom class Zoom is a web-based video conferencing tool so you can easily record the session. Zoom lets two types of recording- local recording and cloud recording. If the account has permission for recording then a student can record the online class session. In such a scenario local recording is free so, besides the paid subscribers, the free subscribers also can do the local recording. Whereas, the cloud recording is only for the paid subscribers, and if you are using your phone then you will get a record one-way cloud recording. But, to record an ongoing class the host or the teacher needs to allow the students to record the class for future use. You need to choose the convenient option, as if you are comfortable with a computer then you need to record for a computer as that will be a local recording. A student can record the class as much as he/she wants. One can choose to record some portions of the class that are important for practice. So, one can pause after recording the important part and then can resume recording for the following important part. Once you choose to stop the recording, you will see that the recorded portion is converted to mp4 format.
