French and Japanese should definitely be the first choice to learn for a bright career. I have an authority to say so as a language trainer and successfully running Dante Institute of Foreign Languages for the last 50 years. Dear Students, if you think for a short term goal then go for Spanish & spoken Japanese because French & German have more competitors than these two Languages. If you think of a long term goal, then think about the Japanese & Chinese languages. Because to show your proficiency need not require graduation. Only you have to pass the proficiency test, which has no age limit or time limit. It will depend upon you to complete the proficiency test conducted by the concerned language foundation. These foundations are promoted by concerned language government agencies. These two languages help you to find good jobs in India and abroad. read less
